Spring Has Spoken

Spring gives us little hints that it is on its way. The weather might still be a little crazy. I live in Ohio, where it is 70 degrees one day and 30 degrees the next. But it can't irritate me because spring has spoken. I always know that she is right around the corner when I open the back door and hear the peeper frogs singing outside. I also hear the mourning doves cooing to each other and then I know what follows: Warmer weather. Sunny skies. Flowers and green leaves on trees.
"For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land." Song of Solomon 2:11-12
This is just like our relationship with God. We cannot trust what we feel. However, we can always trust what we hear. The Word of God has spoken! His Word is truth. His Word is life. His Word is faithful.
His Word gives us hope that something greater is coming! He has spoken. No matter how things might look in our lives, we can listen for His voice of truth and promises.
Today, I stand firmly upon the Word of God. And I am looking forward to a beautiful spring.
How about you? Can you trust that God's Word in Scripture and the Words that He has spoken into your life will come to pass?
Renew Turns "7"
Something else happens in the spring: another milestone. Renew is celebrating its 7th year! l cannot believe how amazing God has truly been!
The Beginning: Renew was started after I struggled spiritually in the midst of my chronic pain condition. I finally said, "Enough, This cannot be it!" and I fasted for a month. At the very end of the month, God flooded my soul with purpose and Renew was birthed from the very pain that had cornered my soul.
The Purpose: Renew is Christian support for those who have chronic pain or illness. I didn't want to pour out complaints and negativity. I wanted to share hope through a powerful source: Jesus! We have prayer, fasting, praise & worship, Scriptures, teaching & preaching, guest speakers, poetry, tools, encouragement, and more!
The Future: Renew has grown and changed over the years and I expect the same moving forward. Our ministry team will follow the leading of the Lord in order to serve this community of believers.
Do you suffer from a chronic illness or pain condition? Are you struggling and need extra support? Check out Renew! Here a the special video for our anniversary:
