Podcasts
Some doors have closed recently for my ministry. However, other doors have opened, which was surprising. I had the honor of being on 3 podcasts and I will speak on a 4th this week! I only have the links for 2 of them right now (the 3rd will come out in November). It has been a blessing to share my life. I pray that what God has shown me through my darkest of valleys will help other people.
I was on Heather Perron's podcast called Living Beyond the Invisible. She focuses on invisible illness and I was able to discuss living with Trigeminal Neuralgia for the past 14 years. You can find the podcast here.
I was also on a podast called Walking It Out With Kathrin. I shared my journey of faith and how God has been there and kept me through my illness. You can listen to it here.
Stay tuned for the other 2 podcasts!
Awareness

Today is Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day. Having this severe nerve pain disorder in my face has been challenging. This past year had been better. I still had good days and bad days, but I was able to be on the worship team and lead a small group. Now, I am having more symptoms and need to see another specialist. My fibromyalgia is out of control and I am so dizzy from my meds. All of this has led to a decrease in my ability to participate in my church.
I know that I look normal, but I wish that people could see my days: waking up in the night in pain, feeling dizzy in the morning, pain somedays..all day, feeling exhausted on the good days, hurting all over in the evenings, unable to think right in the afternoon...and on and on. There are other things, like having to not do things that I want to do. Through it all...every bump in the road, every bad day, every doctor appointment, every medication with side effects...God is with me. I love Him. He loves me. I trust that the good will come to surface from the bad. I know that He is faithful and His plans will reveal His glory and goodness.
