Does God Even Notice Me?

I tossed and turned with dreams of pain and was finally awakened in the early morning hours with a stabbing pain in the right side of my head. This is typically an indication that it is the beginning of a three day "pain fest." As soon as the right side started easing, the left side of my face joined with a crushing pain in my cheekbone. After several days of this, I began to wonder if God knew how much I was suffering. I felt isolated from the world and abandoned by the Healer.
Sometimes I wonder: Does God even notice me?
I'm not alone. There are many other people who feel this way. Although God created us to commune with Him, we still have those moments when we feel distant from such a great big God. And we feel like we have been thrown into an unfair situation. Job was like this. He lost his belongings and his children. If this wasn't bad enough, he was then covered from head to toe with boils. To top it off, his friends argued with him about his plight. What he desired most was to confront God. He didn't deserve this. Where was God in this disaster? Job said, “Would He contend with me in His great power? No! But He would take note of me” (Job 23:6).
God would take note of him?
God did take note of him. At the beginning of this story He asked Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil” (Job 1:8)?
Just like Job, you are seeing a single snapshot picture of your life's story that is stuck in the pain and disaster. Flip back through the pages and see how God has taken note of you! Understand that there is a future that only God knows and that you can be used in a mighty way through the conduit of pain, disease, and suffering.
The final piece: praise! Allow all things, good or bad, to become stepping stones toward God. "Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshipped" (Job 1:20). He worshipped because he always worshipped! That is who he was. That is who we are meant to be.
Do you feel unseen? You are not.
God Sees You!

This summer, I completed my training and became a Board Certified Mental Health Coach. I took this training to better serve those under my social media ministry. I offer free sessions as I am physically able. My role is to help individuals move in a forward direction and to help them find additional resources as needed (with counselors, physicians, etc.) for all mental health needs.
If you are in need of additional support or cannot get in to see a licensed counselor and need some help in this area of your life, please contact me. You are not alone! God sees you and He is sending out an army of Christians to help encourage you and cover you with prayer during your difficult circumstances, sickness, and pain.
