5 Summer Essentials

ree

Now that the school year is finished (praise God), we are looking forward to summer. Check out 5 Summer Essentials below!

Essential #1 - Plan, Plan, Plan

Summer is a busy time in my house for all of us! My 14 year old granddaughter lives with me and I have to find ways to keep her busy. Our plans include: swimming, reading and other library programs, the movies, and more! My husband just surprised me with an ice cream maker. This is going to be awesome! What plans do you have? Check out our "bucket list" that we created for summer. I have included a blank one for you to fill out with your family.

Essential #2 - Read It

I am currently reading the Bible in a year using my Bible app. Right now I am reading 2 Samuel, Psalms, Proverbs, and Acts. I just finished reading Why? by Anne Graham Lotz and I just started Hope In The Dark by Craig Groeschel. What are you reading?

Would you like to sample an excerpt from my writings? Here it is! God uses the ocean to minister to me in my chronic pain condition.

Essential #3 - Check It Out

Steady Course Ministries encompasses 3 Facebook groups pages. Renew is for those who struggle with chronic pain/illness. This month our theme is "Pray-Pause-Praise." Reflection Room provides short studies or devotions through video, audio, and written means. We just finished "The Book of Revelation" and started "Dangerous Prayers." Lady Laborers is for women in ministry, whatever that ministry might be. I am doing something called "Summer Series" right now. Each day has a different theme: Motivation Monday, Technology Tuesday, Wisdom Wednesday, Thoughtful Thursday, Self Care Saturday, and Social Sunday. I also have a YouTube channel. Check out my teaching: Foundations of Ministry and Ministry 101.

Essential #4 - Show Some Support

Steady Course Ministries always supports Save the Storks. Check out this organization. They provide ultrasounds for women who are contemplating abortion. When the heartbeat is seen, it changes minds. If these women need further support, Save the Storks helps. God values life. Do you support any organizations that are Scripturally based?

Speaking of support, you really need to read what my husband wrote about me. It is very sweet.

Essential #5 - Pray

Dr. Caroline Leaf said, "It has been found that 12 minutes of daily focused prayer over an 8-week period can change the brain to such an extent that it can be measured on a brain scan." I am doing this right now! Join me and change your brain in a positive and Godly way.

Do you have a prayer request? Send me a message. I am now a Board Certified Mental Health Coach. Contact me if you are struggling. Let me guide you with the Word of God. If I cannot help, I will find someone who can. This is available at no cost.
